Tasting Room: BREATH OF THE MOOR. Sesquilé.

In the heights where the world is silent and the water still speaks, a space is born where the spirit of the moor is distilled and served.
At more than 2,900 meters above sea level, among ancient frailejones and wandering mists, rises Aliento del Páramo, the tasting room of Destilería La Hicotea: a refuge for seekers of origin.
You don't come here to drink. You come here to remember who we are.
We connect with water, grain, steam, history, and mystery, under the guidance of those who have made the moor their altar and living laboratory.
The Breath Ritual
A sensorial and poetic journey in which each drink is a passage to the soul of the Andes.

Welcome – Cloud water and living word-
Duration: 2.5 hours | Location: Sacred Mountain of the Cacique of Guatavita
Opening ritual with an infusion of highland herbs and an ancestral invocation to the land. It cleanses the palate and the mind. It refines the heart.
Closing the ritual – Toast to the wind. In silence or with words, each visitor makes their offering and toasts to the rain and clouds. La Hicotea estate is a temple to water, to the cold, to the rain, to the clouds.
THE TASTING – Six spirits. One mountain.
Each beverage is presented with its own story, its process, its character. They all have something essential in common.
They all have something essential in common:
✅ 100% natural ✅ No colorings, no additives, no fermentation accelerators, no added sugars. ✅ Pure páramo water, chlorine-free, chemical-free ✅ Slow fermentation and distillation, respectful of time and the environment

Here, you don't drink out of thirst. More than a tasting, it's a pact with the mountains.
Between sounds of the wind, stories of water and bites of the territory, you will learn to recognize the flavor of the altitude and the history hidden in each drop.
Every sip is an echo. Every swallow, a testimony. Every visitor, a new guardian of the wasteland.
Here we drink from memory. From gratitude. From connection.
